Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand a specific choice in live performance. Send proposals through the Contact page; do not submit a full draft unless we have asked for one.
What to pitch
Propose an original, focused piece about scripts, rehearsal, stagecraft, performance or theatre rooms. Strong pitches name the question, explain why it matters to a general reader and show what the piece will clarify. A useful comparison, an overlooked convention or a clear explanation of a theatrical term can all make a good starting point.
What makes a pitch work
Keep the proposal concise and specific. Tell us the intended reader, the central idea and the material you would use to support it. Avoid broad claims, promotional copy and pieces that depend on access you have not secured. We do not promise publication or a response time.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option for a pitch. Include a working title, a short summary and a brief note about your relevant experience. Do not include confidential material or personal information that is not needed to consider the proposal.
